Your choices are probably better than mine hahaha, but I went for Delta Squad because I find them more badass.
IGN has done some bad reviews before, but I don't see the problem, if you care so much for the game go out and buy it day 1. Also, is this David Cox guy a developer of the game? If so, he is pretty damn cocky, like he expects the game to get perfect scores all around.
The Combine vs. The Helghast= Hard one but I would say Helghast.
The Covenant vs. The Chimera= Also hard one but I would go with Covenant.
Master Chief vs. Marcus Fenix= Marcus Fenix
Spartan Noble Team vs. Delta Squad= Probably the hardest one the figure out, I would go for Delta Squad.
Ya, I'm really getting tired of all these god damn spin offs, but I'm kinda glad most of them don't follow Sora's story, because then I would feel as if I was missing something important.
I agree with you, Killzone 2 is way more of a challenge than Halo, not so much Resistance 2 though.
I don't get all that hate for it either, and I've stated it before, but just because it's not as "good" as San Andreas doesn't mean it's a bad game altogether.

I seriously don't get all the hate for GTA 4, I mean really it's a great game, and I also don't understand how people liked Red Dead Redemption better, there's even less things to do. Not to say I didn't like Red Dead however.
